What you like best about your job

I enjoy being in a different place each day and interacting with our clients. The most rewarding part of our job is returning to our clients and hearing them explain to us the positive lifestyle changes they have made.

What separates AHS from other companies?

The small company atmosphere is very unique and each employee works extremely hard to make each event a success. Each employee works together and helps each other, making even the hardest days a little easier.

Projects and successes

Being fairly new to AREUFIT, my projects and successes have been small. I am most proud of being trained on the cholesterol screening. I am looking forward to being a nurse in the future and becoming comfortable with screenings is helping me feel confident and even more eager to enter the field of nursing.

Most important lesson you’ve learned from life

From work to play, you cannot do your best unless you love what you are doing. Hard work will get you far, but if you put passion into everything you do, you can go much further.

Future goals and ambitions

I am hoping to go to nursing school and become a nurse in a children’s hospital.

Favorite quote

“When you have confidence, you can have a lot of fun. And when you have fun, you can do amazing things.”
-Joe Namath

Favorite way to spend free time

I like visiting my family, the beach when I can get there, and coaching gymnastics. I’ve been scrapbooking since high school and when I get the time, I like doing that as well.

Health interests most passionate about

With my experience coaching children, I am very passionate about the obesity epidemic in children. I try to not only teach gymnastics, but also healthy eating habits, sleeping well and even time management so they can plan their meals to include fruits, veggies, whole grains, etc. They cannot do their best in school, gymnastics, etc. if they are not eating healthy or getting enough sleep.

Stress relievers

Gymnastics has always been the best stress reliever, but I have also started to run and bike ride.

Most influential person

My dad has always been an influential person in my life. He enjoyed his job and worked hard, but when he was not at work, he was serious about having fun with our family, competing in masters swimming, and making sure my sister and I grew up well rounded. I try to follow his example by working hard, but also getting time to myself for relaxing and being with family and friends.
