What you like best about your job?

I have too many “bests” to list.  I laugh no less than 20 times per day at work.  I enjoy my clients personally as well as professionally.  The AREUFIT staff…the best!  Our clients…the best!  I look forward to coming to work every day (no lie!)…the best!

What separates AHS from other companies?

As a company, AREUFIT has a staff of ethically driven individuals all invested in our company mission statement.  We are visible, we are honest, we work as a team without distracting internal politics and we have the same common goal of wellness.

Projects and successes

I consider my successes to be anytime I have been a contributing factor in launching a culture changing wellness initiative.  As a team, we have achieved this many times over.

Most important lesson you’ve learned from life

On the toughest of days look for that one small thing that made it all ok.  The toughest day is only temporary.

Future goals and ambitions

All of my goals are driven by outdoing myself on a daily basis.  My personal and professional ambition is the same: in an honest, thoughtful way be better than the day before.

Favorite quote

Aristotle “We are what we repeatedly do”

Favorite way to spend free time

I enjoy reading books or magazines (magazines often have a better success rate!), running, my husband & daughter and my group of friends who get together for dinner every other month.  Note:  I don’t cook unless absolutely necessary and I can’t think of that reason…although I do enjoy all food.

Health interests most passionate about

I am most passionate about seeing a company invest in the health of their employees in a small or grand way.  Employees want to feel cared for, I would like to help the companies to achieve that culture.

Stress relievers

My primary stress reliever is running in any type of weather.  I like all weather.  Running is the only part of my day that I don’t share and don’t have to.  It is all about me and my thoughts.

Most influential person

My daughter is, hands down, the most influential person in my life.  When my daughter behaves in a way that is desirable (or not) I am required to examine myself and consider my influence on a situation.  Ultimately it is up to me to change or continue living in a way that most benefits her future behavior.  This mentality bleeds into my work life.  I find myself examining myself at work and considering ways that I can be better or different to more positively influence individuals who want a healthier lifestyle.  I want to be a positive catalyst for change if I can.
