Beef is an excellent protein source, but certain cuts can contain high amounts of fat. Look for cuts that are marked ‘Lean’ or ‘Extra-Lean’. Lean cuts have less than 10 grams of fat; extra-lean cuts have less than 5 grams of fat. The beef cuts below are all low fat, flavorful and nutritious. 

THE BEST GRILLING MARINADE

This marinade is perfect for grilling season! It’s quick and easy, you should already have everything in your pantry. Even if you don’t have a lot of time to let the meat marinate, it will still have a ton of flavor!

Add the following ingredients to a gallon size ziplock bag:

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup soy sauce
3 tablespoons olive oil
3 tablespoons minced garlic
3 tablespoons honey
2 teaspoons ground black pepper
1 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon onion powder
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional – add more/less to adjust spice level)

Shake well to combine. Add steaks of choice. Let sit in refrigerator for at least one hour, up to 24 hours. Grill to desired doneness + enjoy!!
