Hypertension the “Silent Killer”

May is High Blood Pressure Education Month. High BP is often called the “silent killer.” Most people with high blood pressure do not experience any symptoms like sweating or headaches. Since they feel fine, they don’t think that they need to go to the doctor to get their blood pressure checked. Long periods of uncontrolled high blood pressure can damage your blood vessels, putting you at risk for more hypertension-related health issues like heart disease, stroke, congestive heart failure, and kidney disease.
